Governance of the Platform
In accordance with the initial Concept Note establishing the Platform from 2013 and Terms of Reference adopted by the OIE Regional Commission for Europe in November 2020, the Platform's governance is entrusted to a Steering Group.
The Steering Group is composed of a member of the Bureau of the OIE Regional Commission for Europe, OIE Delegates from three non-EU/EFTA and two EU countries, a representative of the European Commission, a representative of the OIE Headquarter and a representative of the OIE Collaborating Centre on animal welfare for Europe.
The OIE Sub-Regional Representation in Brussels provides the secretariat of the Steering Group. The Steering Group meets every six months under the chairmanship of a member of the Bureau of the OIE Regional Commission for Europe. Meetings take place in different countries from Europe on a rotational principle.
